My sister recently got a pair of Uggs after my parents ordered one for me. On comparing both the pairs of the Ugg boots me and my sister have, I have noticed that the Ugg patch on the back was not centered on the heel and the patches on my Uggs were centered. Is that any hint for fake Uggs that have been ordered by mistake? How are we supposed to identify which are the fake ones and which are the real ones?

You have not mentioned if both the pairs of the shoes were ordered from the same place. If yes, then both might have turned out to be fake or real. If no, then one is fake and the other real. Check the batch and the print. The fake ones usually mention that they are made in Australia whereas the real Uggs hold a sign as they are made in China.

Try to pull the inside of the Uggs – the fur, quite gently. Check if the fur that is coming out is in large amount which indicates it’s fake. If the fur just comes out very little, and is very fine and smooth to touch, then it is real.

The stitching of the tags varies. On closer observation, the fake ones will have uneven stitching whereas the real ones will have very fine stitching.
